THE SUPER EPIC GUIDE TO ALL PROJECT GENOCIDE SKILLS 1.3
« on: February 03, 2012, 07:57:24 pm »
Hello everybody. This is my first Project Genocide guide. It will teach you how to train every skill in the game. Hope you'll like it!

I will post it as answers to this topic, because it's too large to fit into one post.  8)

GUIDE FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS:

Update 1.3 - A few minor fixes and information corrections.
Update 1.2 - Corrected a lot of misspells and characters lost while copying the guide from MS Word.
Update 1.1 - Most of the original images were too large so I resized them.

1. COMBAT
« Reply #1 on: February 03, 2012, 07:58:06 pm »
1. COMBAT

Combat, basically, is very easy to train. All you have to do is get a weapon and begin hitting things that move. That will give you experience. The rate is pretty impressive: 2000xp/hit. That means after your first hit you'll get level 13 in the combat skill you are training.

Go to the magic spells menu. You will see that one of your spells, the one with a V in a blue circle is called monsters teleport. Click on it.

NOTE: You don't need magic level to teleport using teleporting spells.

I strongly recommend you using the first option: rock crabs. They are just level 13, but they have an impressive 50 hitpoints. That means you'll get 100k experience for each one you kill (enough for level 49). To get 99 in a skill you'll have to kill 131 rock crabs. As you can see below, if you have a good weapon and a high strength level, you'll hit them hard. You might even do a 1-hit-Knock-Out!

Training magic and ranged is basically the same thing, but you'll need ammunition or runes. You can buy them from the shops at home: (blue - magic, green - ranged)

2. SLAYER
« Reply #2 on: February 03, 2012, 07:58:36 pm »
  2. SLAYER

Go at home. (first spell in the spells menu) Go to south west and you'll find Duradel:

Talk to him and ask him for a slayer task. He'll give you a task suitable for your combat level. For example, my combat level is 122 and he gave me Hellhounds (level 122). To train slayer that's all you have to do: get slayer tasks and do them, then repeat as many times as necessary for level 99.
Now, I will write a small mini-guide called 'where-to-find-certain-creatures-duradel-might-ask-you-to-kill':

Traverly dungeon: Skeletons, Ghosts, Giant Bats, Chaos Druids, Black Knights, Magic Axes, Chaos Dwarves, Lesser Demons, Blue Dragons, Baby Blue Dragons, Black Demons, Hellhounds, Black Dragons.
Slayer tower: Crawling Hands, Banshees, Infernal Mages, Bloodvelds, Dust Devils, Gargoyles, Nechryaels, Abyssal Demons.
Brimhaven Dungeon: Iron Dragons, Steel Dragons, Lesser Demons (more than the ones on Traverly Dungeon), Moss Giants, Fire Giants.
Rock crabs and hill giants can be found using the other two teleports in monster teleport.
For green dragons use the Pk teleports. Remember that green dragons are all in the wilderness.

NOTE: I strongly recommend you to first get a task, then begin training combat together with slayer. Slayer will take more than attack, strength, defence, but when you'll have combat 126 you'll already be having something like 70-80 slayer to begin with.

3. PRAYER
« Reply #3 on: February 03, 2012, 07:59:17 pm »
  3. PRAYER

Training prayer is pretty boring and will take some time. However, it is rewarding: 99 prayer points, access to all prayers and curses and a beautiful prayer skillcape.
Firstly, you'll have to get some dragon bones (a lot of them). You can either kill some dragons or buy the bones from other players, although that would be pretty costy. After you got bones DO NOT BURY THEM! Get a full inventory and go to the prayer recharging altar (the middle one) at home. Use each bone on the altar for double exp: 5760 each bone. Now, for some calculations: Level 99 requires 13.034.431 experience. That means you'll have to offer 2263 dragon bones for level 99. Level 95 (for turmoil) requires 8.771.558 experience. That means you'll have to offer 1523 dragon bones for level 95. At a cost of 5.000 gp each dragon bone, level 95 would cost you 7.615K and level 99 would cost you 11.315K. Of course, unless you want to get them free as drops from various dragons.

4. MINING AND SMITHING
« Reply #4 on: February 03, 2012, 08:00:19 pm »
  4. MINING AND SMITHING

Now that we're done with the combat-related skills, it's time to concentrate on non-combat skills. If you want to make money, smithing is a pretty good way. While training levels 85-99 you will be making runite items, which you can either sell or cast high-level-alchemy on for some profit.
You'll need around 30-40k coins for this. Teleport to skill. (the A teleportation in the spells menu) There is a building with a NPC inside. Go in and trade Bob. He sells a variety of items, very useful for training non-combat skills.

Below is an image of his shop:

Buy an iron pickaxe, a rune pickaxe and a hammer. Now go on the eastern side of the building and you'll see a lot of rocks of various ores. Mine 12 tin ores and 12 copper ores.

Now go south east until you find a furnace on the beach. Click it and choose bronze bar. Repeat until all your ores are turned to bars.

After you smelted the bars, go back to the mining area. You will see an anvil nearby.

Use a bar on the anvil (remember to have a hammer in your inventory) and smith something out of the bars. It does not matter what you smith: you will get the same exp/bar if you use a bar of the same metal.

Repeat and change metals when possible until both skills  are at level 99.

MINING TIPS:

TIP 1: Above there's an image of the ore rocks. Below is a list of what each of them contains:
1. Runite (mining level 85)
2. Copper (mining level 1)
3. Tin (mining level 1)
4. Iron (mining level 15)
5. Coal (mining level 30)
6. Mithril (mining level 55)
7. Adamantite (mining level 70)
TIP 2: Don't mine coal. You won't need it for smithing. If you mine coal you will raise your mining level too fast compared to smithing.
TIP 3: Always mine ores that you can smelt and smith after. If you reach level 70 mining but still have 68 smithing, don't mine adamantite, but wait until you also get 70 smithing.
TIP 4: The rune pickaxe is usable at level 41 or above. When you earn this level, drop the old iron pickaxe. You won't need it anymore!

SMITHING TIPS:

TIP 1: To smith certain bars you need certain levels. Before mining some ores be sure you can also smelt and smith it:
Bronze bar: tin ore + copper ore + level 1
Iron bar: iron ore + level 15
Steel bar: iron ore + level 30
Mithril bar: mithril ore + level 55
Adamantite bar: adamantite ore + level 70
Runite bar: runite ore + level 85
TIP 2: You don't need coal for smithing. Don't mine it!
TIP 3: You can smith at most 5 items at once. That means you can smith up to 25 bars with a few clicks if you smith platebodies.
TIP 4: Drop all the items you've created until level 85. When you begin making rune items, you should either bank them at the Catherby bank or alch them, although I recommend the first option. After you got 99, you'll have a pretty nice collection of rune items to sell at the shop, other players or high-alch them for bonus magic experience.

5. THIEVING
« Reply #5 on: February 03, 2012, 08:00:53 pm »
  5. THIEVING

Thieving is a very useful skill. It's a very efficient way of earning money. Go to home. Just south of the bank you will see 5 stalls. Each of them gives you an item when you steal from it and certain thieving exp. However, the more exp they give and the more precious the item is, the higher your thieving level must be to steal.

1. Level 90 - gives red topaz (worth 15k)
2. Level 75 - gives silver dust (worth 10k)
3. Level 50 - gives gold rings (worth 7k)
4. Level 25 - gives silk (worth 5k)
5. Level 1 - gives chocolate cakes (worth 4k)

You can either bank or sell the items. You can sell them to Sigmund the merchant, which is near the thieving stalls.

You can choose to bank the items, so can sell them all noted later. I, however, don't recommend you to do that, because you don't have a 'sell-all' option, and you'll have to sell them 10 by 10.

6. AGILITY AND HUNTER
« Reply #6 on: February 03, 2012, 08:01:28 pm »
  6. AGILITY AND HUNTER

These two skills are trained together. In the spells menu you'll find a teleportation called 'Agility and hunter'. They will teleport you to this area:

In the right part of the image there's an agility obstacle. Click it. It will take you to the other side of the crates and give you a base exp (I don't know exactly how much; a few thousands I think) and a bonus of 125xp/level. That means at level 1 the bonus will be 125xp, at level 2 it will be 250xp and so on until 99, when the bonus is 12.375xp. Just pass the agility obstacle until you get 99. Piece of cake!

NOTE: Each time you climb over the obstacle net, you will also earn 2000 coins besides the experience.

As for hunter, this is a little more difficult. Click on one of the crates around the obstacle to get a butterfly net. To catch certain implings you require:

Baby impling - level 1
Young impling - level 22
Gourmet impling - level 28
Earth impling - level 36
Essence impling - level 42
Ecletic impling - level 50
Nature impling - level 58
Magpie impling - level 65
Ninja impling - level 74
Dragon impling - level 90

To catch butterflies:

Ruby Harvest - level 15 (not sure)
Sapphire Glacialis - level 25 (not sure)
Snowy Knight - level 75
Black Warlock - level 85

NOTE: Whenever you catch a butterfly or an impling you will receive in your inventory a jar. It is completely useless. You don't have to drop them when the inventory is full, you will get the exp anyways. When you are finished training hunter, just drop the jars. You can also sell the jars to the shop that buys everything for a small sum (usually around 2k)
NOTE: Although you can see your level in the skills menu, moving your mouse over hunter will not work. To find out how much exp you have and how much you need for leveling up, just go to the quest menu:

VERY IMPORTANT! Throw away all impling jars EXCEPTING ninja and dragon impling jars. These two are worth 199k and 338k each! One inventory of ninja impling jars is worth around 5.5M and an inventory of dragon impling jars is worth around 9.5M!

7. FISHING AND COOKING
« Reply #7 on: February 03, 2012, 08:02:12 pm »
  7. FISHING AND COOKING

Go to Catherby (skill) and get 30 coins with you. Buy from Bob a small fishing net, a harpoon and a lobster cage. You can bank the harpoon and the lobster cage. You won't need them right now. Go to the fishing spots and begin fishing at the most eastern one. It requires level 1 and gives you shrimps:

Near the smithing furnace there's a cooking range. Use the fished shrimps on it and they will almost instantly get cooked. Of course, some of them will burn, but it'll still be good experience.

Go bank the cooked fish. (it's faster than dropping the whole inventory and the server does not yet have an ::empty* option) Keep fishing and cooking until you reach level 99. There are a few types of fishes you can fish and cook:

Shrimps - fishing level 1 - cooking level 1
Cod - fishing level 23 (not sure) - can't be cooked (a small glitch)
Lobster - fishing level 40 - cooking level 40
Tuna - fishing level 30 (not sure) - cooking level 30 (not sure)
Shark (possibly) - fishing level 50 (not sure) - cooking level 50 (not sure)

8. WOODCUTTING, FIREMAKING AND FLETCHING
« Reply #8 on: February 03, 2012, 08:03:00 pm »
  8. WOODCUTTING, FIREMAKING AND FLETCHING

Get 12.863 gold and buy from Bob's shop an iron hatchet, a rune hatchet, a tinderbox and a fletching knife. Now go near the mining rocks and begin chopping down the normal tree.

There is no oak, so cut the normal tree until you get level 30. Each normal log will give you 1.000 experience. Once you got level 30 woodcutting, use the tinderbox on each log to light them up.

Each normal log you light will give you the impressive amount of 15.110 experience in firemaking.
Next: willow trees. A willow log will give you 2.720 experience when cut and 15.192 experience when lit.

NOTE: At woodcutting level 41 drop your iron hatchet and begin using the one made of rune.

There aren't any maple trees either, so you'll have to skip them too. At level 60 woodcutting begin chopping down yew logs and at 75 magic logs.

Now for fletching... Just chop down logs and fletch them into stuff:

Arrow shafts can be made from any log at any level.
Normal logs can be fletched at level 10.
Willow logs can be fletched at level 35.
Yew logs can be fletched at level 65.
Magic logs can be fletched at level 80.

NOTE: Although in the image I was using the "make 10" option, you should use the "make X" option. It works just like a "make all" command. It is MUCH FASTER!

9. FARMING AND HERBLORE
« Reply #9 on: February 03, 2012, 08:04:02 pm »
9. FARMING AND HERBLORE

Farming is probably the most expensive skill to train in Project Genocide. Go to Bob's store at skill and buy a few (around 10 or 20) guam seeds to begin with. Also, buy a lot of vials of water (1.000 will be fine for now).
Go behind the Catherby bank and you'll find four farming patches. Plant one seed in the small eastern patch (the herb patch). An herb plant will be planted instantly and you will get farming experience.

Click on it several times. Each time you will collect a herb dependent to what seed you have planted. (guam seed makes guam herbs, snapdragon seed makes snapdragon herbs etc.)
Go to the bank and clean the herbs. After you get a whole inventory of clean herbs, bank them and farm more.

NOTE: You can clean the herbs during the time your character runs back to the bank to makes some time economy. Just click the bank on the minimap and spam-click the last herb in your inventory. Until you reach the bank booth, they will all be clean.

Time for herblore!

NOTE: Whenever you run out of farming seeds you should make potions out of the herbs and raise your herblore level too. When you are out of herbs resume farming.

Remember you bought vials of water before? It is time to use them! Unbank 10 clean herbs and 10 vials of water (it's faster than using the 'substract-X' command).
Now, switch a vial of water and a herb as you can see in the image below.

And use the last herb on the last vial of water (or the other way, it's not relevant!)

Do this for all the 10 potions. Then bank them, unbank another 10 vials of water and 10 herbs and repeat.
Repeat farming and herblore until you reach level 99 in both.

NOTE: You should make potions that you need: for example, Saradomin Brews; you might need them later and they will come very handy.

10. RUNECRAFTING
« Reply #10 on: February 03, 2012, 08:04:29 pm »
  10. RUNECRAFTING

Once again, go to Bob's shop at Catherby and buy rune essence. They are noted and cost 4 coins each. Teleport to home after you've bought some essence. You'll have to pass through the wilderness, so make sure you wear nothing you can't afford losing. When you are ready, go north following the River Lum's course until you find the Zamorak Mage. Talk to him and choose the altar you wish to teleport to. This might be very frustrating, because the skeletons around are aggressive and will constantly disturb your conversation with the mage.

When you reached the runecrafting altar all you need to do is left click it. All the essence in your inventory will be automatically crafted into runes and you will be given a certain amount of experience for each essence used, not for each rune obtained. (just like in the real RuneScape!)

Runecrafting is probably the hardest skill to train in this private server.

11. CRAFTING
« Reply #11 on: February 03, 2012, 08:04:58 pm »
  11. CRAFTING

Crafting is another skill that will cost you some. As with all other non-combat skills, you begin at Bob's shop. Get as much money as possible. Buy a chisel and 26 uncut sapphires. Move the chisel to the last inventory space and use it on the last uncut sapphire.

When you can, begin using better gems. I don't know what level you need to craft them (the game doesn't tell), but you can buy one, see if you can cut it, and if you can't sell it back to the shop. You won't lose a single coin!

Below is an image with the cost of all uncut gems.

NOTE: You can also train by crafting ranger armor from dragonhide, but cutting gems is much faster and you also get some amulets you can sell to the shop.

12. SUMMONING
« Reply #12 on: February 03, 2012, 08:06:32 pm »
  12. SUMMONING

Summoning is the easiest of all. Just type ::summoning** and you will instantly get 99. The summoning cape can be bought from the shop which also sells torva, pernix and virtus. The NPC is called Mishkal Un'Dorn.

NOTE: The summoning skill does not work. You can get level 99 only so that you can be maxed. It doesn't affect you combat level and you can't use it (you are unable to summon any creature or use its ability/abilities).

13. USEFUL HINTS
« Reply #13 on: February 03, 2012, 08:06:59 pm »
  13. USEFUL HINTS

TIP 1: Use the experience counter. Click the XP button near the minimap and a small rectangle with a number inside will show up near it. Whenever you can experience in a skill (any skill!) you will be notified. You will be able to see exactly how much exp you receive for each thing you do, allowing you to plan your training ahead.

TIP 2: Always use your teleports when you can. You can find them as teleporting spells in the spells menu. They are in all the spellbooks and in the same order. Below is an image of all the teleports for the normal spellbook.

TIP 3: On project genocide you can find a unique feature. In the Edgeville General Store there is a shopkeeper. He isn't a normal NPC selling various items like armor, supplies or weapons. He is there to buy your items. He will buy any tradable item in the game. Below is his position an example of selling various items:

TIP 4: Just like in the real RuneScape, getting 99 will take some time. It may take a little (firemaking) or a lot (prayer, runecrafting, slayer). No matter how long it takes, I strongly recommend you doing something else while you train to make it more enjoyable and less boring. The best option is listening to music.
NOTE: You can't choose something like reading, playing a flash game or chatting with your friends, because you'll have to pay attention to the game.

  Ending and explanations

This was my guide. Hope you enjoyed it and find it helpful.
If you have any advice, ideas for improvements or simply want me to know your opinion, please post on this topic or send me a private message.

__________________________________________________________________________
EXPLANATIONS:

* A RuneScape Private Server ::empty option is an option available in most servers (Project Genocide does not have it yet) that allows you to instantly empty your inventory, no matter how full it is or how precious the items inside are. It's very good for training like fishing a while inventory, then emptying it if you do not want to cook the fish obtained. It's much faster than banking or dropping it.
** There also used to be a ::pure command in the game, but it was disabled to make it a little more challenging. In the case that the ::summoning command will be disabled, I will post a full guide on how to train summoning 1-99.
